Many car owners get confused about the difference between the Lexus wheel covers and Lexus hubcaps. While an ordinary observer may not see any difference between the Lexus wheel cover and Lexus hubcaps, the reality is that there is a lot of difference between the two. A Lexus wheel cover, as name suggests, is an accessory that covers the entire Lexus wheel. On the other hand, a Lexus hubcap is an accessory that covers the center area of the wheel
The purpose of a Lexus hubcap is to conceal the lug nuts. The lug nuts of the Lexus wheel should be concealed for two reasons. The most important reason is to protect the lug nuts from dust, dirt, water and debris. Lexus hubcaps protect the lug nuts from becoming damaged. If the lug nuts become damaged, it may prove to be very difficult to undo them at a later stage
Another reason why the Lexus hubcaps are used to conceal lug nuts is to make the Lexus wheel look better. On the other hand, Lexus wheel covers are not designed to cover the center portion of the wheel only. Rather, it covers the entire wheel as a whole
